How did I come up with my business name?

First of all, I am known on the Internet as ladyteal (that part of the name was easy). Secondly, my husband is helping me with the intricate technical parts of my web page, not to mention his encouragement and support. He is known on the Internet as Coronado Dave or CD for short. Since LadyTeal's Coronado Dave doesn't make for a business name, I took the shortened version (CD) and found a suitable business name. From there came Craft Den.

What about the crafts?


At a young age (toddler age), I showed signs of creativity. I found that I loved that part of me. When I was 7, I put that creativity into learning crafts. That's when my mother and grandmother taught me my first crochet stitches and pattern. Since then, I have learned more stitches and am still learning new stitches and patterns (especially the patterns).

I am always looking for new craft projects/types. In the early 1990's I taught myself candle making. This was before the current television crafts shows and Internet awareness. Also, kits were not available. Books on the subject at that time dated back to the 1960's (when candle making had some popularity). I did find that the information was still relevant. So, I got the supplies to get started and checked out the "old" books and found my styles. As you will see from my product pages, my style of candle making is mainly candles in glass -- foam or not (foam type novelty is my first love). I also make chunk candles and ice candles.
